AGRA: Just two days after four young men abducted a college-going girl in Sambhal district, raped her in sugarcane fields and then blackmailed her by uploading images of the crime on YouTube, a minor girl in Agra has revealed that three men from her neighbourhood forced themselves on her and then posted videos of the crime on WhatsApp and YouTube.
The crime occurred on January 15, but the girl was silent for over a week as she had been threatened.
Police on Tuesday arrested all three men the 15-year-old girl had accused of rape. The girl, a resident of Etmadaula, said the men entered her home when her parents were out on work and her brother was away at school. She said they raped her at gunpoint and filmed their crime. They later uploaded the video on WhatsApp and YouTube.
Etmadaula inspector Shailendra Singh identified the three accused as Naresh, Jaiveer and Rajesh. They have been booked under Section 376 (punishment for rape) of IPC, POCSO (protection of children from sexual offences) Act and the IT Act.
"The girl was tight-lipped for several days after the crime, as she had been threatened. Only when her father was told by some neighbours of the video did he approach police," the officer said.
A 22-year-old woman who worked as a typist in private firm in Kalwa was raped by her employer, a 61-year-old man identified as Kirtikumar Shah, last Sunday.
Shah called the woman to work on a holiday by telling her that she urgently needed to type out important documents. He then raped her and banged her head on the wall when she tried to resist his attempts.
