18-month-old girl raped by her relative
An 18-month-old girl was raped by her relative in Sama locality of the city, police said today.
"The 19-year-old accused, identified as Amardip Saroj, took the victim, who is his cousin's daughter, to a secluded area in Sama locality on Saturday and committed the crime," police inspector J D Raval of Sama Police station said.
The accused has been booked under section 376 (rape) of the IPC as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The girl has been sent for a medical examination and further investigation is on the run.
